The spiral mat is a measurement and control device for the efficient and precise production of curved handrails for newel and spiral staircases.<\/p>\n

The functionality:<\/h3>\n

Decisive for the precise fit of a tube spiral is the bending radius and the twisting of the tube in relation to the rolled out length.<\/p>\n

The radius of the tube to be bent is achieved through the application of a roller. The attained bending radius can be determined with ease using a radius measuring device or the bend height. If the bent tube is lifted on the output side of the machine during the bending process then this results in a tube spiral. In the past, the tube spiral was often lifted based on the perception and experience of the machine operator. The bending results achieved with this working method often exhibit a level of accuracy that is highly unsatisfactory. This requires costly rework or reproduction of the spiral tube numerous times over.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

The spiral mat signals an end to this.
\nThe functionality is as simple as it is brilliant. Its operation is child’s play.<\/p>\n

The spiral mat consists of an electronic control unit, as well as an elec. measurement system for measuring the tube rotation and an elec. measurement system for measuring the rolled out length. The spiral mat measures the turning and feeding of the tube constantly during the bending process. Deviations from the target value are signalled to the operator by a “traffic light” (this is a combination of signal lamps in a vertical configuration) red \/ amber \/ green \/ amber \/ red. Precisely set turning is indicated by a green signal lamp. No further corrections are required in this case. If an amber or red signal lamp illuminates then correction is required. Production of the spiral takes place precisely and extremely efficiently. There is no need to stop the machine during the bending process.<\/p>\n

Spiral scrap is excluded. Every spiral handrail fits perfectly.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
